Mental exercise

OK _ Guys. Here is the way to whip it out and pee anytime anywhere.

This is a mental exercise that requires a little time and no money. It works for most compulsions and other psychological quirks

The procedure: Talk/read therapy

Choose reading material of a not too complex nature. Children's stories or popular magazine articles.
Choose a sentence (to be called the mantra) of a few words. I recommend "I know what I'm doing."
As you read your selection, voice aloud your mantra at the same time. You will see words that you
know you know, but somehow they do not seem to register their meaning, That is because you are blocking
the normal pathways to cognizance by talking at the same time you are trying to read. Continue to read your
selection over and over until the meaning does register. By so doing, you will create new neural pathways to
congnizance. For some reason, I don't know why, this process stops compulsions and other psychological quirks.

During the course of this mental exercise, you will be tempted to stop the mantra in order for the words to register their
meaning. Do not yield to this temptation.

You must do this exercise twenty minutes in the morning, then, two or three one or two minute sessions during
the course of the day, and then ten minutes before sleep. Positive results will appear at day three, but keep up the
exercise as prescribed for seven days.

Now then, please let me know, either on this board or personally by e-mailing me at kenn100@yahoo.com. I am an
individual not connected with any commercial or academic organization. Anything you tell me is strictly
confidential. And I will try to answer any questions you may have. I understand your problem.

Thank you, Ken

OK There have been many viewings. But has anyone tried the mental exercise.? This exercise has cured many annoying compulsions and should work just as well at paruresis. Post your results - positive or negative, but only after you have followed the directions for one week. If you would like any more information, you can e-mail me at kenn100@yahoo.com. Your message is confidential.

So far there have been 85 viewings of the message advocating the mental exercise as a cure for paruresis. But no one has come forth with their success or failure from a trial. I know this is a sensitive subject, one that you would rather not talk about, but if the mental exercise worked for you, you would be doing a service to others who may be skeptical and don't want to put forth the slight effort the exercise requires. So please, if you have tried with or without success, but you do not want to reveal your identity to the forum, please e-mail me. I promise to keep your identity secret, and I will post your experience anonymously to the forum. I will also give you more information about the mental exercise, how it works, why it was developed, etc. How about it? Kenn100@yahoo.com
